Born in Southern Brazil, Lucas Campara Diniz discovered the guitar at an early age under the musical influence of his family’s Gaucho traditions. Soon, he achieved his first successes. In 2013, he won the 1st prize at the Av Rio Guitar Competition, the Sebastian Benda Music Competition and the International Guitar Competition Fred Schneiter. A year later, he embarked on his first international tour in Chile, performing as a soloist with the Orquesta del Maule.

In the present day, Lucas graces the most distinguished stages across Europe, captivating audiences at renowned music festivals. With his participation in the esteemed Passo Avanti quartet and his enthralling duo alongside the percussionist Vivi Vassileva, he has performed at prestigious venues, including Grafenegg, the Wiener Konzerthaus, Essen Philharmonie, Kissinger Sommer, Rheingau Musik Festival, Europäische Wochen,  Mosel Musikfestival, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival…

A crucial concern for him is advancing the classical guitar repertoire. Through original compositions like his Sonata for Solo Guitar and close collaboration with other composers, he significantly contributes to the creation of new works for the guitar literature. In collaboration with the Vienna Konzerthaus, he commissioned two works for his duo: Javier Contreras’s “Sonata for Vibraphone and Guitar” and Sergio Assad’s “Three Brazilian Legends,” which he premiered there in the autumn of 2020.
